Among thousands of guests on the wedding day, every eye has the assorted feelings of eagerness, love and enthusiasm for the only one reason i.e. to see the bride. With bride been the centre of attraction, it is apparent that she has to plan her outfits, accessories and her entire looks much before D-day. If she fails to understand and take decisions about the wedding attire including the one in the pre wedding as well as post wedding functions, it is best suggested to consult a designer. A designer will always give a right opinion about what would suit the best and compliment you for the special occasion.
Looking at some hot trends now, one attire that is absolutely in these days is an embroidered lehenga with heavy work and a cutecholi with net sleeves or even a skimpy choli would also suit but for latter it all depends upon the size of the bride. A structuresghagra with hints of minute work over it making it look elegant yet royal. These days the choices of brides has reached much beyond the ‘classic and traditional red lehengas’. Infact people are ready to experiment with the contrasting colours. Always preferred colours for the bridal outfit are red, pink, orange, saffron, turquoise, purple, green, purple, maroon-gold and gold. Another style statement a bridal wear is welcoming is a mix match concept. A good design of a choli with heavy work on ghagra with the drape of saree and styling of a dupatta so that the looks are traditional yet modern with the essence of contemporary. Designers are also offering lot of options in dresses as far as mix and match choices are concerned. They offer unconventional mix of silk, chiffon and velvet with attractive laces to make their creations one of a kind. It is witnessed since centuries that saree was, is and always will be the ethnic and traditional attire for the wedding day for a bride. Banarasi sarees use to be famous for the wedding days but they have been overshadowed by excellent designer creations for our couple of years recently. The tradition of keeping the ghoongat seems to bedisappearing but let’s face the fact; the completeness factor for the bridal look is the ghoongat.
Don’t forget that all the pains taken by everyone are only to bring the bride into the spotlight, making her feel as radiant and beautiful as she feel for her D-day. If nothing seems to be working out you can always look up in the catalogues and magazines, some design among them might just manage to get itself included in your liking list.
The bridal attire is no good if it is not well accessorised with jewellery. You may select from diamonds, stones/ gems jewellery, gold etc. that best suits the attire. But considering the cost factor, try to experiment with your mother’s of grandmother’s jewellery collection if something among them suits your bridal dress or a dress to be worn in one of the wedding functions. Smartly buy such jewellery, which even after the wedding will be considered by you for wearing. Make sure your neck piece is heavy with full of rich design and not a single layer neck piece. Since it is the wedding day, bridal must look happy, stunning and rich. Hence loads of bangles, richly design neck piece and earnings, baajubandh, payal and lastly the kamarpatta does the needful. Perfumes are the best friends for such occasions so make sure you spray a lot of it and make yourself smell nothing less than splendid and of course astonishing make-up to go along with it .
Look special, be special and feel special this wedding season. Best wishes to all the brides.
